The Westy

The Westy is a neighborhood bar in Ithaca's West End, built around a wide selection of craft beers, spirits and a spacious beer garden out back. Darts, a pool table, a pinball machine, popcorn and a piano round out a bar that leans into being a genuine local hangout rather than a polished cocktail lounge.

Atmosphere and Setting

The Westy is open seven days a week starting at 4:00 PM, with a relaxed early-evening crowd that builds into a livelier, more sociable scene as the night goes on — especially on open mic nights, when the room's energy tends to climb along with the lineup.

Open Mic Night

Every Tuesday from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, The Westy hosts a 21-and-up open mic. It's a newer addition to Ithaca's open mic circuit compared to some of the city's longtime rooms, but it has quickly found a following among performers who want a real bar-room crowd rather than a quiet listening room.

The Westy's beer garden and game room also host casual live music and community gatherings throughout the week, in keeping with its neighborhood-bar identity.
