Cafe Negril has been a Frenchmen Street institution long before the street became world-famous. Located in the heart of New Orleans' live music district, this venue showcases authentic New Orleans music ranging from reggae to blues, funk to jazz.

The Tuesday Blues Jam

The Super-Most-Fantastic-Blues-N-Such-Jam happens every Tuesday with multiple sets starting at 7:00 PM. Musicians are encouraged to bring instruments and join in. The jam is led by guitar legend John Lisi and the Delta Funk band, providing solid backing for jammers.

Venue Details

Ground floor high-top tables and stools provide close-to-the-action seating, while an elevated VIP section offers reserved seating with light-up tables and optimal sightlines. The venue maintains a 21+ age requirement and enforces a two-drink minimum. Table service is available throughout the space.

Wednesday Jam Session

Wednesday nights feature Jam-ilton, where vocals are reimagined on saxophone supported by a funky New Orleans rhythm section. Musicians can jam on stage or dance on the floor - all are welcome.
