Rhizome Roots Studio

Rhizome Roots Studio is a dance, movement, and community arts studio on Pearl Street in Ypsilanti, opened in July 2025 by Charlie Fuller after a career in health and wellness.

Atmosphere and Setting

The studio deliberately has no stage, creating an intimate, pressure-free room built for connection rather than performance polish. Games and refreshments keep the room social between sets.

SpeakEasy Open Mic Night

On the first Friday of the month from 8:30 to 10:30 PM, Rhizome Roots hosts its SpeakEasy Open Mic Night, open to singing, poetry, magic, and any other performance style. Admission is $10 for audience members and $5 for performers.

Other Programming

Beyond its monthly open mic, Rhizome Roots runs regular classes in social dance, yoga, and mindful movement.
