Uncommon Ground in Lakeview is home to Chicagos longest-running open mic night spanning over 25 years. The venue has established itself as a premier destination for emerging artists.

The Open Mic Competition

The weekly open mic functions as a competition where performers can win prizes including Shure microphones studio time and cash. Winners from each week advance to semi-finals with final competition determining the seasons champion.

Music and Dining

The venue offers full dinner service starting at 4pm with tables available first-come first-served. Uncommon Ground also features an on-site brewery serving award-winning Greenstar organic beer.
