Open Mic @ The Req Room
This intimate arts space at 1208 North Monroe Street is run by music educator Chris Seepersaud of Seepersaud Studios and it offers local musicians and performers a welcoming room with an audience that is there to listen.

What to Expect
The open mic is a friendly and low-pressure night for singer-songwriters and acoustic players and other performers of every experience level. Covers and originals are both welcome. The small gallery-style room is quiet and focused so it is a great place to try a new song or play your very first set in front of a supportive crowd. The Req Room is equipped with professional microphones and speakers.

About the Venue
The Req Room opened in January 2025 as a home for Tallahassee's artists and musicians. It doubles as an art gallery and has hosted concerts and poetry nights and exhibitions and theater. Folk songwriters Danny Schmidt and Danny Goddard are booked there for Sunday January 17 2027. The space is part of Seepersaud Studios which also offers music lessons and coaching and recording and instrument repair.

The Req Room sits right next door to the Blue Tavern which is one of Tallahassee's favorite listening rooms with live music most nights along with weekly open mics and bluegrass and jazz and old-time jams.
