The Kraken Bar & Lounge
The Kraken Bar & Lounge is a punk rock dive bar in Seattle's Roosevelt neighborhood near the University District. It serves food and drinks and live music with plenty of attitude and it is one of the north end's most loved late-night hangouts.
Tuesday Open Mic
Every Tuesday the Kraken hosts an open mic. Sign-up is at 7:30 PM and the show starts at 8:00 PM. Rockers and songwriters and experimental acts all find a spot on the list.
Live Music
The Kraken books punk and garage and metal and indie bands along with karaoke nights. It is a true grassroots room where new bands cut their teeth.
Atmosphere
Expect dim lights and loud music and a friendly crew of regulars. The kitchen stays open until close.
