About VOO Lounge

VOO Lounge is a sophisticated jazz venue located in downtown Kansas City in the historic Kansas City Marriott Downtown building. The space features elegant art-deco decor and intimate lounge seating with live jazz performances.

Historic Significance

The venue occupies the same building where the Coon-Sanders Original Nighthawk Orchestra once made jazz history with late-night national radio broadcasts establishing Kansas Citys jazz legacy.

Regular Events

Open mic jazz jam every Wednesday from 7-11 PM with no cover charge and free downtown parking. Friday and Saturday feature rotating jazz musicians and performers. The venue also hosts cocktail making classes and special events.

Speakeasy-style ambiance with dim lighting plush seating and a fully stocked bar featuring craft cocktails. Wednesday night specials include 25% off for musicians and service industry professionals.
