SKOG Haus Coffee & Tea
SKOG Haus Coffee & Tea is a family-owned neighborhood cafe in Mountlake Terrace just north of Seattle. Heather and Dave Skogerson started SKOG as a mobile coffee trailer and opened the brick-and-mortar shop in 2024. The cafe pours coffee and tea from small Pacific Northwest roasters and makes a point of sourcing ingredients from other local small businesses.
Sunday Open Mic and Featured Artist
Most Sundays from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM SKOG Haus hosts a free all-ages open mic where artists of every experience level are welcome. On the final Sunday of each month the open mic gives way to a featured local artist who plays an extended set. Music is the main focus but poetry is welcome too and the whole event is family friendly.
Atmosphere and Setting
This is a daytime coffeehouse stage with a relaxed and supportive crowd. It is a great fit for acoustic players and singer-songwriters and anyone trying out new material for the first time. Families and neighbors drop in for a latte and stay for a few songs.
Food and Drink
SKOG serves espresso drinks and loose-leaf teas along with pastries and light bites. The cafe is committed to sustainability and nearly everything it serves in is compostable.
