About Napoleon's

Napoleon's Grill in Decatur hosts one of Atlanta's longest-running and most respected jazz jam sessions. The venue is a full-service restaurant and bar that has become a cornerstone of the metro Atlanta jazz community.

Music Programming

In addition to the Monday night jazz jam led by Joe Gransden Napoleon's hosts Blues Jam Sessions with Sandra Senn and Blue Velvet Atlanta on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month (7:30-10:00 PM). The venue also features an Acoustic Open Mic on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday with Bill Sheffield and Spencer L. Kirkpatrick.

The Gransden Legacy

Joe Gransden is a renowned trumpeter and vocalist who leads a 16-piece big band. His jam sessions have been running for years previously at Twain's Brewpub before moving to Napoleon's. The sessions attract musicians from throughout the region and occasionally draw visiting artists.
