Premier Live Music Destination
Fitzgerald's Bar & Live Music Venue has established itself as San Antonio's premier destination for live music featuring a massive 30ft x 19ft stage and a 4000 sq ft bar. The venue's commitment to showcasing diverse musical talent has made it a cornerstone of the local music scene.
The Open Mic Trilogy
Every Wednesday Fitzgerald's hosts what they call the Open Mic Trilogy - three distinct musical events in one epic day. It begins with the R&R Musicians Pro Jam from 2-5 PM focusing on soulful blues and southern rock in a relaxed afternoon atmosphere. The Working Class Open Mic follows from 5-9 PM welcoming all ages (minors with parents) and all types of performers including musicians and comedians. The trilogy culminates with the Open Mic Jam Night from 9 PM to 1 AM a 21+ event where the energy kicks into high gear.
What makes Fitzgerald's particularly special is their commitment to providing professional-grade equipment and support. Musicians have access to a full backline including Line-6 and Marshall guitar amps keyboards and a complete drum kit plus professional sound and lighting. A unique feature is the blue room (load-in room) where the next performer can prep and tune up before hitting the stage ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime. With a spacious 30-foot stage and professional sound and lighting performers get a taste of what it's like to play a proper concert venue all within the supportive atmosphere of an open mic.
