About Main Street Square

Located in the heart of Downtown Rapid City Main Street Square is a fun-filled public space managed by a nonprofit organization. The square features special events arts and culture live concerts seasonal ice skating and interactive fountains. Surrounded by the City of Presidents boutiques eateries and galleries Main Street Square serves as a destination for the entire community.

The Square

This outdoor venue provides a beautiful open-air space with modern sound systems and stage lighting. The square hosts free concerts throughout the year with the Emerging Performing Artists series being a highlight of the First Friday Art Walk events. The venue is accessible to all individuals with ADA compliant amenities.

Events & Programming

Main Street Square coordinates with the Rapid City Arts Council to present monthly open mic opportunities as part of the downtown Art Walk series. The square also hosts seasonal concerts family events and cultural celebrations. Street performers must contact Main Street Square office for permission to perform at signature events.
