A weekly Sunday night blues jam in downtown Albany hosted by the Capital Region Blues Network. A house band opens, then sign-up musicians join for grouped three-song sets with full backline provided.

McGeary's Pub

McGeary's Pub is an Irish pub on Clinton Square in downtown Albany, a longtime anchor of the city's live music and nightlife scene with a stage built for real bands rather than just background noise.

CRBN Blues Jam

Every Sunday night at 7:30 PM, the Capital Region Blues Network hosts its weekly blues jam at McGeary's. A host band opens with a one-hour set, after which the jam master groups sign-up musicians by instrument and style for three-song sets. The pub provides a full backline — drum kit, bass amp, two guitar amps and a full PA — so musicians only need to bring themselves and their instrument.

Other Events

McGeary's regularly books local and touring bands throughout the week, making it one of downtown Albany's most consistent live-music venues.

Good to Know

McGeary's Pub is located at 4 Clinton Square, Albany, NY 12207. There's no cover charge for the jam, though a $5 donation is suggested to support the host band. Sign-up sheets are typically on the first table inside the door, so arriving early helps secure a slot.
