The Strum Shop - Roseville's Acoustic Music Hub
The Strum Shop is a family-owned acoustic musical instrument store located at 209 Vernon Street in downtown Roseville California. Established in May 2012 by Stu Herreid and Dan Elliott the shop specializes in ukuleles guitars banjos mandolins and dulcimers along with a variety of other curious instruments.
Community Music Programming
The Strum Shop is known for hosting a diverse array of music events throughout the month including workshops classes concerts and seminars. The venue is home to multiple music clubs and gathering groups creating a vibrant community for musicians. The Bluegrass Jam occurs on the fourth Thursday of each month welcoming all skill levels. Additional regular events include Uke University River City Ukulele Orchestra Songwriters Circle Acoustic Guitar Club Irish Slow Circle Banjo Ukulele Club Baritone Ukulele Club and River City Dulcimers.
Music Education
The Strum Shop maintains a full-time teaching staff offering private lessons daily and group lessons throughout the week. The shop takes a hands-on approach encouraging customers to grab an instrument off the wall and play. They cater to beginners and experienced musicians alike creating a welcoming environment for learning and musical expression.
Instrument Services
Full-time in-house repair technician on staff. Partnerships with outside luthiers for more extensive repairs. Instrument rentals available. New and used instruments in stock.
