About Blue Jay Listening Room

Blue Jay Listening Room is a beautifully intimate music venue established in 2017 in South Jacksonville Beach. Located upstairs from Casa Maria Mexican Restaurant in the Costa Verde Plaza this sacred 80-capacity listening room offers a unique concert experience where every ticket feels like a backstage pass.

The Listening Room Experience

The venue operates on a simple but important rule: be quiet and listen. Blue Jay creates an intentional listening environment where audiences connect deeply with performers through songs and intimate stories. Talking is encouraged before shows during set breaks and after performances but not during the music itself.

Music Programming

Blue Jay hosts concerts nearly every night of the week featuring local and internationally-touring songwriters across broad genres. Tuesday night jazz jams are a regular fixture along with monthly bluegrass jams and songwriter showcases. Doors typically open at 7 PM with shows starting at 8 PM. The venue serves wine and local craft beer.
