The World Stage

About The World Stage

The World Stage is a nonprofit performance space and jazz workshop in Leimert Park founded in 1989 by drummer Billy Higgins and poet Kamau Daaood. It is a cornerstone of the Black arts community in Los Angeles.

Music and Jams

The venue hosts an instrumental jazz jam on Thursdays and a vocal jazz jam on Sundays. A small donation applies.
