About Western Cider

Western Cider is a cidery cider apple grower and tasting room located on the banks of the Clark Fork River in Missoula Montana. The dream was seeded in 2012 when co-founder Michael Billingsley planted 2500 cider apple trees in Montana's Bitterroot Valley just south of Missoula. Today they have nearly 5000 trees with over 50 varieties of apples used to produce easy-going and traditional ciders.

Cider Selection

Western Cider crafts quality hard ciders from 100% Northwest Apples including their flagship Poor Farmer Classic. They use apples from their own orchards as well as Northwest orchards to create a variety of cider flavors ranging from traditional to experimental styles.

Tasting Room Experience

The tasting room offers a welcoming community atmosphere with spacious indoor seating and beautiful outdoor areas along the river. Hours are Monday through Thursday 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday and Saturday 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Weekly Music & Events

Western Cider is a hub for local music featuring Monday Night Open Mic hosted by Michael Enos starting at 6:00 PM and Old Time Jam sessions on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM hosted by Lake Missoula Old Time. All skill levels welcome from beginners to experienced musicians.

Community Events

Beyond music the venue hosts weekly trivia nights on select evenings Sunday morning yoga classes paired with cider and various community gatherings. Private event rentals available for weddings company parties and family celebrations.
