Midtown's Secret Jazz Speakeasy

The Waiting Room occupies the upstairs space above Bon Ton Vietnamese/Cajun fusion restaurant creating one of Atlanta's most distinctive music venues. The 70s-themed cocktail bar features shag carpeting mirrors a glittering disco ball and decor that evokes the Korova Milk Bar from A Clockwork Orange mixed with Austin Powers aesthetics.

Tuesday Night Jazz

Every Tuesday evening from 8:30 PM to around midnight The Waiting Room hosts live jazz featuring Dallas Dawson's trio plus guests. The intimate space with curved booths covered in shaggy orange fur and dramatic red lighting creates perfect atmosphere for jazz listening. A $7 entertainment fee applies on jazz nights.

Cocktails & Atmosphere

The bar specializes in strong specialty cocktails including an absinthe Hurricane and other drinks inspired by Bourbon Street. While you can order from Bon Ton's full Cajun-Vietnamese menu downstairs the tight upstairs space means most patrons stick with drinks. No food service upstairs after 9:30 PM.

Enter through Bon Ton's front entrance at 674 Myrtle Street NE ignore the hostess stand and head up the dark staircase immediately in front of you. Small parking lot available. The space books private events and hosts special themed nights including Pride celebrations and holiday parties.
