Tim's Tavern

Tim's Tavern is a neighborhood music venue and kitchen and gathering space in the heart of White Center. Its two stages host indie and folk and punk and hip-hop and jazz and experimental music and it has become one of the most welcoming rooms in South King County.

The Story Behind Tim's

Tim's began in Greenwood in 2012. Musicians Mason Reed and Matthew Matto O'Toole took it over at the end of 2016 and turned it into a beloved small club. The pandemic forced the Greenwood room to close in 2021. Tim's was reborn in White Center in the former Drunky's Two Shoe BBQ space with more than three times the room. In 2026 the Together In Music team behind Tim's also took over operations at Slim's Last Chance in Georgetown.

The Vibe

Tim's feels like a community living room. It is kid friendly until 10:00 PM and there is a large covered patio that welcomes dogs. The crowd is local and supportive and neighborhood events like White Center Pride and the art walk often run through here.

What They Serve

The kitchen has an expanded menu and Tuesdays are known for cheap tacos and tequila. The bar serves beer and cocktails.

Tuesday Open Mic with Levi said.

Every Tuesday Levi said. hosts the Tim's Open Mic. Songs and stories and poetry and puppets and first drafts are all welcome. Sign-ups start at 6:30 PM and slots begin at 7:00 PM with 15 minutes each. There is no cover and performers get food specials.

Mode Music All-Ages Open Mic

On select Wednesdays at 6:00 PM Mode Music and Performing Arts hosts an all-ages open mic that gives young musicians a real stage to play on.
