Sugar Beet Saloon
Sugar Beet Saloon is a western-style saloon tucked inside Jessup Farm Artisan Village at 1921 Jessup Drive in Fort Collins Colorado. It opened on March 6 2026 in the historic barn that was once home to Jessup Farm Barrel House and it has quickly become one of the friendliest new spots in Northern Colorado to grab a local beer and hear live acoustic and roots music. The name honors the sugar beet farming that shaped Fort Collins and the surrounding region in the early 1900s.
History and Setting
The saloon occupies a restored barn from the original farm of Henry and Edna Jessup which is now the centerpiece of Jessup Farm Artisan Village. Owner Sarah Shireman is a hospitality veteran with decades of experience and she turned the former barrel-aged beer taproom into a casual western hangout built around what she calls a true Colorado experience. Reclaimed wood vintage decor and old farm character give the room a warm lived-in feel that suits songwriters and string bands perfectly.
Atmosphere and Spaces
Guests can settle in at the small patio bar near the entrance or head upstairs to the loft with its big screens. The property also offers large outdoor patios on the west and east sides with room for around 100 people which makes summer evenings and patio music sets a real highlight. The vibe is relaxed and unhurried with no pressure to rush out after one drink.

The bar pours 16 taps and bottles that mix Colorado favorites from breweries such as Odell New Belgium Horse & Dragon Stodgy and Zwei with national standbys like Coors Light Modelo and PBR.
