Montgomery's Riverfront Music Destination
Red Bluff Bar at the Silos represents Montgomery's newest addition to the live music scene having opened in Summer 2022 as part of the Vintage Hospitality Group. Located on the historic Alabama River waterfront in Riverfront Park this venue has quickly become the city's favorite gathering place for live music drinks food and community celebration.
Historical Significance
Before becoming Red Bluff Bar the location served as the Silos Depot a train station operated by AmTrak from 1989 to 1995. The venue name honors Montgomery's historic marker High Red Bluff also called Hostile Bluff or Thirteen Mile Bluff. This area served as a catalyst for transportation and commerce including the arrival of the first steamboat the Harriet in 1821 and the first railroad in 1880. A tunnel system built in 1879 under the railroad tracks assisted horse-drawn wagons transporting cotton. The venue continues this legacy as a common space for the entire city to gather and celebrate.
Musical Programming
Red Bluff features progressive blues funk rock jazz country R&B bluegrass hip-hop and folk music nightly on the Red Bluff Stage. The venue hosts national touring bands alongside local and regional favorites making it Montgomery's premier spot for staying connected to the local music scene. The annual Red Bluff Music Arts & Food Festival held each May at the Riverwalk Amphitheater showcases top-tier artists influenced by blues country jam jazz and soulful Southern sounds while spotlighting local and regional bands visual artists and culinary talent.

Open Wednesday through Sunday Red Bluff Bar offers a rotating draft selection wine and cocktails for adults in a family and pet-friendly environment. Games including ping-pong horseshoes and cornhole are available on a first-come first-serve basis. The venue features a large walking area for dogs and outdoor seating with scenic riverfront views. The space serves as an ideal spot to enjoy local entertainment including concerts ballets Fourth of July fireworks and Montgomery Biscuits baseball games.
Operating Information
The venue closes for winter months reopening March 12 2026. Regular hours include Wednesday-Thursday 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM Friday 4:00 PM to midnight Saturday 1:00 PM to midnight and Sunday 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Monday and Tuesday the venue remains closed. The health score stands at 96 out of 100.
