Ploughman Cider is a cidery taproom at 14 Lincoln Square in the heart of Gettysburg, right on the town square. It pours its own hard cider, made from fruit sourced at Three Springs Fruit Farm in Adams County, and it offers a warm, community-driven alternative to the tourist bars in the historic district.

Atmosphere and Setting

The taproom occupies a historic downtown building, and it emphasizes its connection to the farming heritage of the region. There are no televisions on the walls, a deliberate choice that encourages conversation and gives the room a relaxed, social feel. Dogs are welcome outdoors.

Cider and Food

Ploughman's ciders come from the apple orchards that surround Gettysburg, and the taproom offers seasonal releases that blend heritage apple varieties with regional fruits. The kitchen offers locally sourced food, so a visit can easily become a full meal.
