Open Mics in Raleigh North Carolina

Raleigh (and surrounding areas) features a ton of open mics hosted from a variety of different venues. You can find open mics at local restaurants, breweries, community centers and even farms.

Having personally visited many of the open mics and jams in the area I can say that this city is thriving with unique talent. While many open mics feature solo artist performing more folky, classic and county there is also a vibrant scene for alternative rock, hip hop, R&B and experimental.

Some key places to check out include the historical and always fun Berkeley Cafe in Downtown Raleigh, Cannonball Music Hall (new place in Raleigh Iron Works) and Bond Brothers East Side in Cary.
