The Westcott Theater

The Westcott Theater is a restored historic movie theater turned live music venue in Syracuse’s Westcott neighborhood, now operated in partnership with Fat Boy Pizza Co., which runs a full kitchen and bar inside the building.

Open Mic Wednesdays

On the first Wednesday of every month, the theater hands its stage to the community for Open Mic Wednesdays. Sign-ups open at 6:00 PM on a first-come, first-served basis, with the show starting at 7:00 PM, giving performers of every type — musicians, comedians, poets and more — about an hour to grab a slice from Fat Boy Pizza and settle in before their turn.

The rest of the calendar leans on touring and regional bands across rock, hip hop, metal and indie genres, making The Westcott one of Syracuse’s larger dedicated concert rooms outside downtown.
