Open Mic Night @ Blue Tavern
Hosted by Doc Russell the Open Mic Night is one of the city's longest-running and best-loved open stages. It takes place in a cozy listening room with no televisions and no distractions so performers get a crowd that actually listens.
What to Expect
Singer-songwriters and acoustic players and duos and anyone with a song to share are welcome. Covers and originals are both part of the mix and the room is friendly to first-timers and seasoned players alike. The night runs late so there is time for plenty of performers.

Before the Music
Wednesdays start early at Blue Tavern with Rad Reading Hours at 5:00 PM. Grab a beer or a glass of wine or a coffee and settle in before the open mic begins.
More Music at Blue Tavern
The open mic is one part of a packed week. Tuesday is Bluesday with live blues at 8:00 PM. Thursdays bring a Bluegrass Jam and a Jazz Open Jam and Saturdays host Jug Band and Old Time jams and an Irish Session. Songwriters in the Round on second Fridays features three local songwriters. The Req Room next door hosts its own monthly open mic.

Blue Tavern is at 1206 North Monroe Street in Midtown Tallahassee Florida 32303. Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
