Twice-monthly open mic series hosted by James Snider of Fresh Mind. Performances from 7-9 PM with sign-ups beginning at 6 PM. Limited to 10 performers on a first come first serve basis.

Songbirds Foundation and Venue

Songbirds relocated to its new Southside location in April 2024 and has become a premiere music venue and cultural institution in Chattanooga. Built on a mission to share the transformative power of music Songbirds combines an intimate concert hall with a remarkable guitar museum.

The Museum Experience

The venue showcases over 40 rare and vintage guitars on display at all times including two Les Paul Goldtop prototypes and Dolly Parton's Fender Acoustasonic. The collection also features vintage effects pedals amps and music memorabilia. Interactive audio and video exhibits provide education and inspiration.

Live Music Programming

The twice-monthly open mic series features musicians from all genres and skill levels. Songbirds also hosts rock bands alt-metal groups cover bands and student performances. All performances occur in a renowned concert hall with excellent acoustics and professional staging. Happy hour pricing on beer and wine from 6-7 PM encourages community participation.

Educational Mission

Beyond the venue Songbirds Foundation offers guitar lessons songwriting workshops music therapy and the Write to Rock program for youth. All venue proceeds support music education and artist development across the South.
