About Lizard Lounge

Lizard Lounge is an intimate live music club located just north of Harvard Square beneath Cambridge Common restaurant. Since 1996 this subterranean venue with its signature red lighting and welcoming atmosphere has been recognized as one of Boston's best small music venues.

Diverse Musical Programming

The venue features live music seven nights a week ranging from rock and blues to jazz and folk. Session Americana and Club D'Elf are among the regular acts known for their jam sessions. The venue also hosts the legendary Lizard Lounge Poetry Jam on Sunday nights.

Venue Atmosphere

With its low ceilings plush Persian rugs quality sound system and 24 beers on tap Lizard Lounge creates an intimate connection between performers and audience. The venue's basement location and red lighting contribute to a unique ambiance that Rolling Stone called an intimate eclectic hot spot.
