Artists Anonymous Open Mic @ Beach House Bar & Grill
Every Thursday night Beach House Bar & Grill in northwest Omaha opens its stage to local performers with the Artists Anonymous Open Mic. The free late-night session starts at 9:30 PM and gives singers songwriters and players a relaxed room to try out new material play favorite covers and connect with the local music community.
What to Expect
Artists Anonymous is a low-pressure open mic built for working out songs in front of a friendly crowd. Solo acoustic acts duos and small groups all fit the format and both originals and covers are welcome. The session follows the bar's popular Music Bingo night so the room is usually warmed up and in a good mood by the time the first performer steps up. Expect a supportive audience of regulars fellow musicians and neighborhood folks who came out for a Thursday night drink.

Players who prefer a full-band setting should also check out Open Jam Night at Beach House on the third Wednesday of every month from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The venue describes it as Omaha's monthly music hangout where you can bring your own instrument or use the house gear and jump on stage to sing or play. Between the weekly open mic and the monthly jam Beach House is one of the easiest places in northwest Omaha to get regular stage time.

Beach House Bar & Grill is a neighborhood bar with a vacation vibe just off I-680 at Fort Street. It serves cold beer cocktails and elevated bar food such as wings with more than a dozen sauces sliders fried pickles and cheese curds. The weekly calendar includes free karaoke on Mondays from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM and free Texas Hold'em poker on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM. Thursdays bring Music Bingo from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM before the open mic. Live bands play every weekend and recent lineups have included The Jones and Wonder Rising. The venue is actively booking cover and original acts so a strong set at the open mic can be a stepping stone to a weekend show.
