About Swallow Hill Music

Swallow Hill Music is a nonprofit community music school with a tradition of open jam sessions dating back to the 1960s when it was part of the Denver Folklore Center. The venue operates as Denver's premier destination for acoustic music education and community gathering.

Facilities

Weekly jams are held in the Quinlan Cafe downstairs with monthly genre-specific jams held in various rooms throughout the building. The venue provides a welcoming accessible space with quality acoustics for collaborative music-making.

Swallow Hill offers an extensive weekly and monthly jam schedule including Monday Night Jam (multi-genre) Tuesday Night Jam (bluegrass and cowboy classics) Bluegrass Jam (4th Sundays) Jazz Jam (2nd Sundays) Irish Jam (1st Sundays) Old-Time Jam (3rd Sundays) Circle Singing (3rd Saturdays) Denver Uke Community (3rd Saturdays) Clawhammer Corner (last Thursdays online) and Tabla Jam (4th Saturdays). All jams are led by expert instructors and community members.
