About The Estate
The Estate has been a cornerstone of Milwaukee's jazz scene since the late 1970s hosting both locally and nationally known performers at 2423 North Murray Avenue. This historic venue has maintained its commitment to presenting quality jazz programming for over four decades making it one of the most important jazz venues in the city. Ages 21 and under must be accompanied by a parent making it accessible to younger jazz enthusiasts.
Jazz Programming
The Estate regularly hosts Milwaukee Jazz Institute events including monthly open jam sessions led by faculty artists Mark Davis and Jim Paolo. These free admission events (donations welcome) provide opportunities for musicians of all skill levels to participate and for listeners to experience live jazz improvisation. The Jazz Circle of the Milwaukee Jazz Institute uses The Estate as a home base for free events designed to help youth and adults learn more about jazz in an authentic performance setting.
