About Charleston Pour House
Charleston Pour House is a home-grown independently operated music venue established in 2002 featuring two stages and live music seven nights a week. The venue has a capacity of 500 people and is known as PoHo by locals.
Musical Programming
The venue features an indoor Main Stage and outdoor Deck Stage offering flexible spaces for jam funk bluegrass indie rock reggae and electronic music. Notable weekly events include Dead Wednesday since 2010 celebrating Grateful Dead music. The Pour House hosts Sunday Brunch Farmers Market that transforms the grounds into a daytime community hub.
Venue Atmosphere
With intimate capacity crisp sound and clear sightlines the venue is built for dancing and discovering new bands. The come-as-you-are vibe extends to patio hangouts and rotating taps. Most shows are general admission so early arrival is recommended. The location on James Island is a quick drive from downtown Charleston with convenient parking.
