Lenny's Pub

Lenny's Pub is a live music venue on Route 302 in Westbrook next to the big old HAWKES sign at Al Hawkes Plaza. The space once housed Event Records an independent bluegrass and country label founded by Al Hawkes in 1956.

Atmosphere and Setting

New owners Adam Steinman and Susan Erickson and Jill Murphy took over in March 2026 and describe their philosophy as treating patrons like family. Chef and co-owner Susan Erickson runs the kitchen with home-cooked food at fair prices and dedicated gluten-free options.

Bluegrass Jam

On the first Sunday of each month from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Lenny's hosts an intermediate to advanced bluegrass jam listed on Melissa Bragdon Caron's calendar. The venue's history with bluegrass and country records makes it a fitting home for the session.

Other Programming

Lenny's books live bands and regular performers such as Travis James Humphries and Rose Alley plus vinyl music nights. Cover charges apply on Friday and Saturday and for larger acts.

For Performers

The jam is pitched at intermediate and advanced players so brush up on standard bluegrass repertoire and bring an acoustic instrument.

Lenny's is located at 1274 Bridgton Rd Westbrook ME 04092. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Sunday from noon to 6:00 PM. Since ownership recently changed confirm the jam schedule with the pub before visiting.
