Located at 2715 Rochester Avenue this legendary venue features multiple performance spaces including an indoor stage with a 600-person capacity and an outdoor garage area perfect for larger shows and festivals.

Open Jam Sessions

Knuckleheads hosts free open jam sessions on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons providing a platform for local musicians to showcase their talents. Saturday sessions run from 12:30 PM to 6 PM and are hosted by Duane Goldston and Billy Ebeling. Sunday sessions run from 1 PM to approximately 6 PM and are hosted by the Kansas City blues band Levee Town. These jams feature a diverse mix of musical styles including zydeco blues oldies classic rock and country. Musicians of all skill levels are welcome to sign up and perform. While the venue is 21+ minors are permitted when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Performers can bring their own microphones or use sanitized house equipment. Saturday afternoons also feature $1 tacos making it an affordable and enjoyable experience for both performers and audience members.

Regular Concert Schedule

Beyond the weekend jams Knuckleheads operates as a full-time concert venue Wednesday through Monday with shows typically starting between 7:30-8 PM. The venue books an impressive range of national touring acts and local favorites across multiple genres including blues rock country Americana folk and roots music. Past performers have included Robert Cray Yonder Mountain String Band and countless other acclaimed artists. The venue regularly sells out shows demonstrating its popularity among music fans.

Special Events

In addition to concerts and jams Knuckleheads hosts unique events such as The Moth Open Mic Storytelling Competition tribute band performances and themed music nights. The venue participates in regional blues competitions including the IBC Road to Memphis Finals.
