JJ's Tavern

Founded by Jon and Jen Neumann in 2013, JJ's Tavern is a neighborhood tavern in the Florence section of Northampton known for an elevated menu that goes well beyond typical bar food, a private banquet space, and a lively outdoor pavilion.

Atmosphere and Setting

JJ's positions itself as a comfortable, all-are-welcome gathering spot for the community, the kind of place that hosts everything from casual dinners to milestone celebrations, with live entertainment as a regular part of the calendar.

Open Mic Night

Every Wednesday, JJ's opens its floor to original songs, covers, and singalongs at its weekly open mic, hosted by Shawn Gunderson, known locally as Gundy. Doors open at 6:00 PM, sign-ups begin at 6:30 PM, and music runs from 7:00 to 10:00 PM.

Other Programming

JJ's also runs a separate weekly comedy open mic called Just Jokes on another night, alongside its regular dinner and event programming.
