Located in the basement of the historic Bottling Department at Pearl Jazz TX has evolved into San Antonio's elite destination for jazz blues big band Texas swing salsa conjunto and Americana music. Envisioned by renowned local musician Brent 'Doc' Watkins this 3500-square-foot venue combines the class of an upscale jazz club with the grit of a traditional Texas dancehall.
Dinner Show Experience
Jazz TX offers San Antonio's premier dinner show experience a rare slice of entertainment where guests can enjoy world-class jazz while dining on sophisticated cuisine. The moody intimate setting features candlelit tables beneath chandeliers and ceiling pencil lights with a neon Jazz TX sign blazing red beside the stage. The venue operates Tuesday through Saturday nights with shows typically running from 6 PM to midnight on weekends. Reservations are highly recommended as seats fill quickly especially for special events and weekends.
Musical Programming
The venue features performances from Doc Watkins himself along with many of the region's favorite musicians. Programming includes classic jazz from artists like Frank Sinatra Duke Ellington and Tony Bennett as well as themed nights such as New Orleans Night Disney Night and Charlie Brown Christmas specials. The Midnight Set series offers a freer more unfiltered form of jazz after hours with a special late-night menu. Special events have included performances by nationally recognized artists Grammy winners and unique collaborations blending different musical styles.
Culinary Excellence
Under the direction of Executive Chef Nik Ortega (who started at Jazz TX washing dishes and grew with the venue) the restaurant has earned recognition from Texas Monthly for its surprisingly sophisticated menu. Signature dishes include blackened snapper center cut filets mushroom ravioli pan-seared scallops and almond chicken. The kitchen serves dinner during shows and Texas Monthly praised the venue for offering cuisine that exceeds typical club fare. Three mini brisket tacos and lemon truffle fries are customer favorites along with the freshly made crème brûlée with strawberries.

Jazz TX features some of San Antonio's best mixologists crafting creative cocktails along with a selection of craft beer drafts and champagne.
