North Omaha Music and Arts (NOMA)
NOMA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing the next generation of musicians through world-class music education and performance opportunities. Located in the former Love's Jazz building on historic 24th Street NOMA celebrates the rich jazz heritage of North Omaha's music corridor.
Mission and Programs
Executive Director Dana Murray former drummer for Norah Jones and Wynton Marsalis leads comprehensive music programs in jazz blues funk and soul. The academy features state-of-the-art labs for piano broadcasting bass and percussion plus plans for a 450-seat venue and recording studio.
Annual Events
NOMA hosts the annual NOMAFEST at Turner Park bringing world-renowned jazz blues and funk artists to Omaha each summer. Past performers include Eric Gales Ghost-Note Lakecia Benjamin and Heidi Martin celebrating the legacy of jazz musicians who once entertained on 24th Street.
