Kevin McCarthy hosts a weekly Sunday jazz jam at Shoreline's favorite dive bar. Jazz players are invited to sit in and a $10 donation is suggested.
Darrell's Tavern
Darrell's Tavern is a popular dive bar and live music room on Aurora Avenue in Shoreline just north of Seattle. Carpet-covered walls and vintage lighting give it a proudly retro look and the drinks are cheap. It is one of the hardest working small stages in the north end.
Live Music Every Weekend
Darrell's books local and touring bands of every flavor including rock and punk and country and metal and soul and jazz and funk and ska. Thursday through Saturday nights usually feature three or four band bills and the room also hosts special nights like Opera on Tap and the Shoreline Music Fest.
Sunday Jazz Jam
Every Sunday night at 7:00 PM Darrell's hosts a Jazz Jam led by Kevin McCarthy. There is a $10 suggested donation and jazz players are welcome to sit in.
