Guitars & Cadillacs
Guitars & Cadillacs calls itself Kansas City and Omaha's original live country music venue and dance hall. The Overland Park club pairs a rockin' roadhouse atmosphere with a big stage and a wide dance floor and hearty comfort food. It is a place to see live country music and learn to two-step and even pick up a new hat before you leave.
The Story Behind the Name
The Guitars & Cadillacs brand dates to 1988. The original club earned a reputation as a stop for major country acts and hosted stars such as Garth Brooks and Vince Gill and Brooks & Dunn and Shania Twain. Today the revived brand runs two rooms including this club in Overland Park and a sister venue near Omaha in Ralston Nebraska.
The Vibe
This is a high energy honky-tonk built for dancing. The floor is busy most nights with a crowd that ranges from first-time two-steppers to seasoned regulars in boots and hats. Smith Hat Co. runs a hat bar inside the club so guests can buy real cowboy and cowgirl gear on the spot.
Food and Drink
The kitchen serves comfort food and the bars keep drinks flowing all night. VIP sections and private event space are available for groups and celebrations.
Country Jam Night
On the first Sunday of the month Guitars & Cadillacs hosts Country Jam Night. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the music starts at 6:30 PM with the night wrapping up around 10:00 PM. Musicians and singers can take what the club calls KC's biggest and hottest stage while DJ sets fill the breaks. Spots fill up fast so arrive early.
Why Musicians Like It
Few open jams offer a stage and sound system this size. Playing for a packed dance floor is a real thrill and a great way for local country and roots players to get noticed.
Dance Lessons and Theme Nights
Free two-step and line dance lessons run Wednesday through Friday from about 6:15 PM to 8:00 PM. Theme nights include Boot Scootin Boogie and Thirsty Thursdays and Fireball Friday along with karaoke and DJ dance nights. Weekends bring live country from local and regional and national touring artists.

Friday and Saturday nights run until 2:00 AM and Tuesday through Thursday nights close at midnight. The club is closed to the public on Mondays. Covers and age rules vary by night.
