The Gaslight Social
The Gaslight Social is a live music venue and nightclub at 314 W Midwest Avenue in the heart of Casper's Old Yellowstone District. It combines a concert hall and a dance club and a social hangout under one roof. Nationally touring headliners and rising artists share the calendar with local favorites and DJ nights. The venue has been a fixture of Casper's downtown music scene since at least 2018 and 2026 has been its busiest year yet for concerts.
Atmosphere and Setting
The Gaslight Social changes character as the day goes on. In the daytime it is a family-friendly downtown spot with arcade and redemption games and a hearty lunch menu. After dark it becomes an entertainment destination for adults with live bands and DJs and a full bar. The Old Yellowstone District location puts it within walking distance of downtown restaurants and breweries and the David Street Station plaza which makes it an easy anchor for a night out in Casper.
Open Mic Night
For local performers the highlight of the week is Open Mic Night on Thursdays at 7:00 PM. The open mic is all ages until 9:00 PM so young musicians and their families can take part. It is a welcoming stage for emerging singers and songwriters and bands who want to play on a real concert stage with a real sound system. Performers should arrive early to sign up in person and check the venue's events page or social media for any schedule changes.
Live Music Calendar
The concert calendar leans toward rock and country with plenty of alternative and Americana in the mix. Recent and upcoming bookings include the Dad Rock Night tribute to 2000s rock and singer-songwriters Elijah Scott and Micayla Rivera along with The Kruse Brothers and Dustin de la Garza. The venue regularly brings touring acts to Casper that might otherwise skip central Wyoming and it gives local and regional bands a chance to open for them.
DJ and Club Nights
Late nights belong to the dance floor. The resident Fri3nds No More DJ nights run on Thursday through Saturday nights starting between 10:00 PM and 11:30 PM with occasional special guests. The venue also hosts special DJ events such as The GU3ST LIST featuring DJs from out of state.
Trivia Games and More
Wednesday nights bring Geeks Who Drink trivia starting at 7:00 PM. Guests can also enjoy pool tables and darts and cornhole along with a patio and a rooftop area. VIP seating is available for concerts and big nights.
Food and Drink
Street by Gringo operates the kitchen inside The Gaslight Social. It comes from the creator of Casper favorite Gringo and serves burgers and street-style bites. Daytime visitors can also find sandwiches and big salads and the much-loved Nacho Trough. A full bar pours beer and cocktails for guests 21 and up.
Private Events
The Gaslight Social offers private rental space for groups and parties and corporate events. The venue also works with sponsors and hosts special events throughout the year.
