Firemind Brewing
Firemind Brewing is a craft microbrewery and taproom at 211 West Stewart Avenue in Puyallup Washington. It took over the spot long known as The Station U-Brew and has quickly become a friendly gathering place for Puyallup beer fans and local musicians with a Wednesday night open mic and live music in the taproom.
Atmosphere and Vibe
Firemind is a no-frills neighborhood taproom where the focus is on good beer and good company. Visitors describe the staff as friendly and inviting and the space as relaxed family friendly and accessible. Complimentary snacks are often on the bar and a food truck regularly parks outside so it is easy to settle in for an evening.
The Beer
Firemind brews a wide range of small-batch styles including American IPAs hazy New England IPAs stouts saisons pale ales and creative specialty beers. Fan favorites include Spicy Boy a spiced ale S.L.O.B an American IPA Brain Haze a hazy IPA and a Marionberry Saison made with local berries. The tap list rotates often so there is usually something new to try.
Wednesday Open Mic Night
Wednesday nights at Firemind are open mic night. Local singers songwriters and players are invited to take a turn in front of a supportive taproom crowd. It is a low-pressure setting that works well for acoustic sets new songs and first-time performers. Live Music
Firemind also books live music in the taproom. Recent shows have included touring rock singer-songwriter Walker Sherman who played a Wednesday evening show in July 2026 along with local acts such as Kaitie Wade. The brewery has also hosted community events like the Firemind Brewing 5K.
