Fighting Hand Brewing Company

Fighting Hand Brewing Company is an independent, husband-and-wife-owned microbrewery in Pineville, just across the Red River from downtown Alexandria. Built around a sci-fi and fantasy theme drawn from the owners' own interests, the taproom has grown into one of Central Louisiana's most active community gathering spots for trivia, games and live original music.

Atmosphere and Setting

The taproom has a laid-back, geek-culture-meets-craft-beer vibe, pet-friendly and centered around a rotating lineup of house-brewed beers. It regularly partners with community groups for themed nights, board game meetups and fundraisers.

Cenla Songwriter Circle

On the first Wednesday of the month at 4:00 PM, Fighting Hand hosts the Cenla Songwriter Circle, a true round-table session where local songwriters take turns sharing original material, swapping stories behind their songs and trading tips with other writers from the Central Louisiana area. Covers are not part of the format — it's original music only, and participants must be 21 or older.

Other Programming

Fighting Hand also hosts a popular weekly trivia night and occasional album release parties and community fundraisers, with the taproom available for private event rentals as well.
