Fast Breaks

Fast Breaks is a restaurant and bar and music spot on Lisbon Street in Lewiston. It brings together live music and hearty food and a warm atmosphere and it welcomes families and groups. For musicians it is best known as the home of a long-running Monday night open mic.

The Vibe

Fast Breaks is casual and friendly with pool tables and TVs and a full bar. There is on-site parking and free Wi-Fi. The Monday crowd is known as a discerning and appreciative audience that comes out to hear a consistently strong lineup.

What They Serve

The menu covers pizza and buffalo wings along with smoked pulled pork subs and mesquite smoked ribs and burgers and steaks and seafood. There are vegetarian options too.

Monday Night Open Mic

Every Monday at 7:00 PM with sign-up at 6:30 PM host Michael Krapovicky runs the open mic. Both bands and soloists are welcome which is unusual for a restaurant open mic. The house provides a guitar amp and a bass amp and a full drum kit along with a QSC PA system with video and multitrack recording. Get there early for a prime slot or call before 6:30 PM and ask for Mike to reserve one.

With backline provided a full band can play without hauling much gear. The recording setup is a bonus for anyone who wants to capture a live take.
