CitySpace

CitySpace is a community arts and event space inside Easthampton's Old Town Hall, run as part of the city's Art Walk Easthampton initiative. It is a municipal hall rather than a bar — free, all-ages, and built around civic and cultural programming for the whole community.

Atmosphere and Setting

The Blue Room inside Old Town Hall is bright and open, with the feel of a town gathering space rather than a nightlife venue. That makes it an easy, pressure-free room for musicians who might not seek out a bar-based jam.

CitySpace Bluegrass

On the first Saturday of every month, CitySpace hosts a strings-only bluegrass jam from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, founded and led by David Clark Carroll of the progressive bluegrass band Daring Coyotes. Pickers, singers, and strummers of every skill level are welcome, no sign-up required, and the earlier daytime slot lets working musicians join in before evening commitments.

Other Programming

CitySpace also runs a broader Partners in Performance series and supports Easthampton's citywide Art Walk events throughout the year.

Good to Know

CitySpace is located at 43 Main Street in Easthampton's Old Town Hall. The bluegrass jam launched in February 2025 and has run monthly since.
