The Venue
Cafe Nine stands as one of New Haven's most storied music venues, operating continuously since 1990 in a building dating to the 1880s. Located on the corner of State and Crown Streets, this 130-capacity room has earned its reputation as "the musician's living room"—an intimate space where the line between performer and audience barely exists.
The venue underwent major renovation in 2010, installing a massive steel beam that opened the sightlines while maintaining the intimate character.
