Opened in 1985 Sportsmen's Tavern transformed from a neighborhood bar into one of Buffalo's premier live music venues. Located in the historic Black Rock section this intimate 120-capacity venue has earned regional and national respect for its commitment to live music programming.

Known primarily for country Americana and roots music Sportsmen's also hosts jazz R&B rock and blues shows throughout the year. The venue features a monthly polka party showcasing its eclectic programming. The Thursday bluegrass brunch has become a beloved institution drawing musicians and fans from across Western New York.
