Bernunzio Uptown Music

Bernunzio Uptown Music is a vintage and used instrument specialist on East Avenue with 50 years of history buying and selling guitars, banjos, mandolins and ukuleles from top American makers. Beyond retail, the shop's back room doubles as a genuine community jam space.

Bluegrass Jam

On second Saturdays from noon to 3:00 PM, Bernunzio hosts an Intermediate+ Bluegrass Jam split into two parts: a slower first hour focused on guided repertoire, followed by two hours at faster tempos emphasizing soloing, breaks and ear training around traditional bluegrass standards. All instruments are welcome and it's a drop-in format.

Other Events

The shop regularly hosts additional acoustic jam sessions and clinics tied to its vintage-instrument inventory, drawing pickers from across the Rochester area.
