Blue Moon Saloon & Guest House

Blue Moon Saloon is a world-famous Lafayette institution combining a backyard-stage music venue with an attached guesthouse in a converted downtown home. For more than two decades it has been one of the top destinations in Acadiana for Cajun, zydeco, swamp pop and roots music, drawing both locals and travelers who plan trips around its calendar.

Atmosphere and Setting

Shows happen on a covered outdoor stage in the saloon's backyard, with a laid-back, dance-friendly crowd and a screened-porch bar. The attached guesthouse lets out-of-town visitors stay steps from the music.

Cajun Jam

On Wednesday nights at 8:00 PM, Blue Moon hosts a long-standing weekly Cajun Jam, one of the most well-established drop-in jam sessions in the Lafayette area, drawing traditional Cajun musicians and dancers alike.
