Adventure Brewing North

Adventure Brewing North is a large, family- and dog-friendly craft brewery on the north side of Fredericksburg, built around a rotating lineup of house-brewed beers and a genuinely active events calendar. Along with pours flowing from the taproom, the brewery has built a reputation as one of the more reliable spots in the area for live music, trivia and community events.

Atmosphere and Setting

The taproom is spacious and casual, with the industrial feel typical of a working brewery, plenty of seating, and room for a small stage setup. It draws a broad, all-ages crowd during the day and a livelier bar scene in the evenings, especially on the weekends when live bands are booked.

Open Mic Night

Every other week, Adventure Brewing North hosts an Open Mic Night from about 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, open to musicians, comedians and poets at every experience level. Sign-ups begin at 6:30 PM, and performers are typically given 10 to 15 minutes on stage. The brewery supplies real backline for the night — two 250-watt PA speakers with a monitor, two to three vocal and instrument microphones, and a 16-channel soundboard that accepts XLR, 1/4-inch and AUX inputs — plus a house acoustic guitar for anyone who wants to play but didn't bring an instrument.

Other Programming

Adventure Brewing North books live bands most Friday and Saturday nights, in addition to running trivia nights and other community programming throughout the week.
