2 Feet Brewing

2 Feet Brewing is a family-operated brewpub on Columbia Street in downtown Bangor. It is known for eclectic beers and homemade food and a welcoming room where families and musicians of all ages gather.

The Story Behind 2 Feet

Cory Ricker and Nok-Noi Ricker opened 2 Feet Brewing in October 2016 with brewing and business partner Jerry Robichaud. The couple picked the name because they liked its active and playful sound. From the start they skipped the IPA craze in favor of variety. Early beers included a ghost pepper saison called Barn Burner and an English strong bitter and a Banana Bread Weizen Bock.

The Vibe

The taproom is small and warm with hand-built tin ceilings and a curved bar made by Robichaud. It feels like a neighborhood living room and a local news feature once described the Sunday jam as uniting musicians of all ages.

What They Serve

Cory brews the beer and Nok-Noi makes the pub fare and desserts using locally sourced ingredients. The menu has included sweet and spicy wings and Maine lobster rangoons and curried deviled eggs. The taproom also pours hard seltzers.

Sunday Community Jam

Every Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM people simply show up with instruments and play. There is no sign-up and no set list which makes it one of the most approachable jams in the Bangor area.

Songwriters Open Mic

Every Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM 2 Feet sets up a mic for songwriters and each performer gets 15 minutes. It is a great fit for players who want more room than a typical two-song slot.

2 Feet Brewing is at 80 Columbia Street in Bangor ME 04401. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Both music events are listed on the Bangor Downtown calendar. Schedules can change so confirm with the venue or host before heading out.
